THERAPY

I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and specialize in treating Trauma, Co-Occurring Disorders, Depression and Anxiety. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience as a mental health professional. I started Resilience with a key goal in mind: to help people and families that are dealing with the impacts of mental illness build upon their own skills and experiences to develop effective plans and strategies to thrive.

What can I expect?

You can expect an authentic, safe and therapeutic space each time we engage in a session. All of my sessions are telehealth so you can access therapy from wherever you are. Therapy can be a refuge, and the best work occurs when you feel supported and at ease.  We will work together to identify the needs and goals for the sessions, and will collaborate to build upon your own unique strengths and skills.

What Treatment Methods do you Use?

I utilize a variety of tools and techniques drawn from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic and Solutions-Focused Therapy.  I also recommend mindfulness and wellness strategies that are shown to improve both mental health and overall health. There is no “one size fits all” for the healing journey as each of us is unique. Together we will explore and identify strategies that will work for you.

My Perspective:

I believe your needs are at the center of the therapeutic relationship, and you will have my focused attention. I believe in Unconditional Positive Regard for all clients, so you can expect my communication to be client-centered, non-judgmental and supportive. I believe healing is possible for all, and that everyone should have access to high-quality mental health care!
